Four Flat Whites in Italy by Roger Hall

A dream Italian holiday causes more than a few headaches and much hilarity as two very different Kiwi couples embark on an adventure together. From splitting the bill when fellow travellers have dined like royalty to sharing a bathroom with a crowd - the unexpected trials of travel are all part of Roger Hall's very funny but frequently poignant New Zealand masterpiece. Hilarity ensues as they grapple with gondoliers in Venice and centurians at the Colosseum, to say nothing of Italian drivers, waiters and hotel receptionists. Our intrepid travellers weather it all, at the same time exposing their little foibles and fads that are unique to New Zealand culture. A first-class cast of Southland talent has been assembled to play the curious travellers and their various money hungry Italian hosts.
