Couldn't get away from Norman, OK till 2:10pm and flew SE to Millerton, OK and dropped south to Clarksville, TX. Barely beat the core and no more than 10 min after punching south to storm base the tornado crossed hwy 37 infront of us.

  • So you drive south on 37 thru a tornado warned core toward a rain wrapped tornado?

  • @okchockey24 We came thru a bit of the forward flank precip and missed the hail core by several miles...while doing so we had a decent visual on the storm base...so we could tell we weren't driving into anything dangerous.

  • From what I could see, there was damage ranging from EF0 to high-end EF1 at the crossing point. What was the final rating on that twister?

  • @AtarahDerek The complete damage survey just came out at 3:30pm today...it was rated EF1

  • Can you be more precise on the location? I have a little weekend getaway place a couple of miles north of Clarksville, and I'm a little curious about what I'm going to find this weekend.
