The facts presented are interesting but their interpretation is biased: it does not go beyond the left/right paradigm. Its clearly tainted by the belief in a failed ideology. Free market capitalism has not been corrupted by an elite, it is a system which in its essence corrupt people by propping selfishness and greed as the ultimate virtues. Its great Priestess was Ayn Rand.

@LuathHans People profitting off of their own work is fine and just. We do not or have not had a free market where people can benefit from the fruits of their labor.

The simple fact that we have a Federal Reserve proves that.

The left/right is simply choosing one form of collectivism over another socialism/fascism Democrat /Republican....

Never is the choice for individualism because the Elite that own both sides don't want to know that there is an option to the lesser of two evils

@dreaminginnother It is NOT about being an island. It is about voluntary cooperation and protecting the individual's right to do so. We need to cooperate in order to succeed and thrive. We live in a opposite paradigm of forced collectivism which sacrifices the individual and their dreams and desires for some "greater good" that is controled by an elite that profits off of our blood.

The Occupy movement was created by the elite. They need it to move their agenda forward. This is why it was able to gain footing so quickly. Even the word "Occupy" reeks of a Communist movement. Who backed the movement? Go to libertynews period com and read the article about a wolf in sheeps clothing on 9-18-11. Most of the original protestors were hired through Craigslist. The media coverage is staged. My Ukraine friend said they did the same thing in Russia years ago. Please don't buy into it.

I am one of the 99% I am 21 and like most people my age I don't care for banking and politics but that doesn't mean I don't like to keep myself informed.

I like to get on with my life and do my own thing but that is getting harder to do because of the 1%. I do my best to not be manipulated by the 1% but I see the full affect of there evil all around me and it makes me sick. If I don't see positive change in the next few years I will just cut myself off from mainstream society completely

Although i agree in general with your points please don't stereotype all the Occupy participants with the same brush. Yes the majority of them do fall into the description/label/boxes you describe, but not all. There are many who can see through the false left/right paradigm, and its only through discourse within the forum that is the 'Occupy movement' that such awareness will spread.

@LuathHans I agree with TruthNeverTold completely. If you think Ayn Rand believed what you are proposing, I don't think you've read her work. Her premise was that you should be left alone to enjoy the fruits of your labor/inventiveness/hard work and not have others (politicians etc.) distribute the fruits of YOUR labor to others. Should you CHOOSE to give the fruits of your labor away should be your choice and nobody else's. The elite (spoiled brats) don't offer a 3rd choice.

You've given me a whole new way of looking at Occupy with this video. I live in the UK where we are even more deceived by the elite if anything. Hell im only 19, go to university to study music tech, i like airsoft, hanging out with friends and doing my own thing, but every day i see the corrupt prosper and the unfortunate suffer and it makes me sick to my stomach, and i cant sit by and do nothing anymore. I aim to be a leader of change, however small my voice is, by whatever means necessary

If a man has the ability to make billions legally does that mean he is greedy or you less capable. People are different & you can't blame them for being more competent than you are.
