Read and Rise & The HIKE Foundation

In 2009, Matt Birk's HIKE Foundation partnered with Scholastic to Launch READ AND RISE in Baltimore where they have provided over 60 Family Reading Events and Book Fairs to low income elementary schools. Now we are excited to be expanding the efforts of the HIKE Foundation across the US to help more kids gain access to self-selected books and to teach young parents the importance of making reading a habit at home.
