In honor of its 30th anniversary on March 19, 2009, C-Span invited viewers to suggest people and topics that would make C-Span even better in the future. I called in at the very end of the show and - while I didn't have much time - managed to make a pitch for bringing on people who are developing "systems based solutions to society's problems". I mentioned that such theorists use Systems Thinking and described how that is a product of the work of Drs. Russell Ackoff, R. Buckminster Fuller, and W. Edwards Deming. And I mentioned how the US government sent Dr. Deming to Japan after WWII to teach them his systems and learning organization-based principles.
