Here begins my walkthrough for Thief 2: The Metal Age, the best Thief game and one of the best games ever made! I love this game!

After the whole Trickster debacle was over, the City returned to it's daily routines, as did Garrett who still steals from the rich and gives to himself. But, times are changing and there are still more prophecies in the Keepers' books that tell tales of trouble ahead.
Although, today the biggest problem seems to be Basso's fiancee being locked up by her employer, a rich noble woman.

The Metal Age has some new features to throw into the mix of old Thief stuff.
Because Garrett lost one of his eyes in the Dark Project, he now has a mechanical eye made for him by one of the most intelligent Hammerite inventors as a reward for killing the Trickster, and naturally there are fun things he can do with it. The more basic feature of two is the ability to zoom in on things.
More additions will become obvious later on in the walkthrough, which is why I will refrain from writing in length about various little things here. I'll just say once again that I really prefer Thief 2 over Thief any day of the week.

  • Metal age mean year 1600 right ?

  • @eminem1214 Well, the story doesn't take place in our world, so not really.

  • Awesome Garret has his voice from the other game :D

  • @Shotgunryugan

Garrett's voice and at least one guard voice, the dumber recurring one, are present in all three games.

  • Dafuk?! these graphics suck ass compared to the 1st game

  • @FallingV Yes he was, he's the guy Garrett breaks out of Cragscleft prison to pork his hot sister.

  • @UdtheImp

So THAT'S what the generators look like for normal mansions in this game look like.

So THAT'S the bonus objective! POETIC!! XD

  • @UdtheImp

That's TWO Objectives immediately done! Now to score some more loot while Basso is rescuing his girl.

Take the plate. Leave the cheese. XD

At least you'll save these people on some of their electricity.

    New objective?

Sounds like the lovers reunited. And from that note, it seems there's a new big man on campus. Unfortunately, he's on the policing side of the law, and he's REALLY strict about it.....

  • NEW Scripture of the Master Builder? THAT'S foreboding.....and WHAT THE CRAP?!?

    Hm....wise words......

OOOOO, the first mission is gonna be a person retrieval mission with high chance of profitable loot! NICE!! :D

    LOL XD

OOOO, one of the mission involves whacking heads! Sweet! XD

Not even through five or six rooms and ALREADY you scored tons of loot! :D

    LOL XD

    HUUUUUUUUGE LOL XD

  • @JohnnyDFox Good point. I haven't played HR yet but I loved the first Deus Ex. But if you look at it all of the good stealth series are being ruined. Hitman is being ruined, Their trading in stealth for Splinter Cell Conviction style gameplay (Now don't get me wrong SCC was a good game just not a good Splinter Cell game) Metal Gear is being ruined, Their trading in stealth for more action as Raiden. And Splinter Cell is ruined.

  • Oh, and since Deus Ex: HR is doing really well and gets lots of positive feedback for the stealth aspects and flack for the forced boss fights, there's a good chance the devs figure out what they should do with Thief 4.
