Federal Prop 8 Trial - Brokeback Mountain

On Day 3 of the Federal Prop 8 Trial, Defense Attorney Ted Thompson painted a picture that gay people were no longer being discriminated against to prove that discrimination could not be the reason that Proposition 8 passed, citing numerous examples as rhetorical questions to expert witness Dr. George Chauncey, including the big success of the gay cowboy romance film Brokeback Mountain and the numerous awards that the film received. In response, I will paint a picture that gay people continue to be discriminated against, and I will cite 40 acts of discrimination against LGBT people that have occurred since the release of Brokeback Mountain towards the end of 2005...

Saying that the popularity of films like Brokeback Mountain means that there is no more homophobic discrimination is like saying that the popularity of artists like Louis Armstrong meant that there was no racial discrimination before the civil rights movement.

I know we arent aloud to donate blood, but why? i am in the medical profession and all of the donated blood is processed, i am just wondering have they given a buy-able reason for this or is it just there?

well, first off...your hot. Second, I like your way of expressing yourself. I can't put my finger on the type of humor. It isn't sarcasm. I might be irony. Your posting casts a bright, no, a VERY bright light on the blatant hypocrisy of the homophobic population. They keep claiming that gays want "special" rights. They claim that we already have equality. They claim discrimination against gays doesn't exist. At least 2K people have watched your posting and have been exposed to the truth.

Awesome, video ! It absolutely dogmatic to say that gays are no longer discriminated. Especially, when they can't even donate blood. Even though a sex worker just has to wait a year before giving blood. Yeah that's right you can be an unprotected prostitute and your blood is still considered cleaner than a gay person's. Even if they are completely monogamous. Even if they still use a condom in that relationship. Great job Ted Thompson.
