What a shame that place is now a block of flats. I have fond memories of going there as a child and remember an elderly usherette with her hair scraped into a bun on the top of her head that used to hit you with her torch if you made a sound! I was also shocked to see that the magnificent Odeon has been carved up into 8 screens! What has happened to Streatham?

WOW! Just came across this. What a memory. I was a projectionist here in the early 1960's. I was 3rd proji and later Junior 2nd. when we had Ross 2 GC3 mechs and Peerless carbon arcs (probably the ones in the film, converted to Xenon I dare say. I see the same BOX decor exists, including the parque floor. I have left some remarks on the 'Cinema Treasures' website for those who want more info.
