  • I'll also say, that while this synth is nearly double what the equally awesome sounding Waldorf Blofeld sells for, its a very different beast altogether; a much more powerful option.

If I was just looking for a synth I would have probably picked the Blofeld. I was looking for a hybrid synth to use with Ableton and this was clearly the right choice.

100% regret free purchase. You get what you pay for.

  • If You want to be mobile, why You just don't use VST synths and midi controller like doepfler ?

  • I have this synth

  • what is Your opinion about this synth ? You like it?

  • German tank.

  • Wrong Pcs do get stressed out when they are not powerful enough to run enough instances of a vst like Nexus for example.

So to run Nexus I need to buy a new pc costing over £500.

I may as well keep my existing pc and buy a Virus...

  • @tjs6025 thats what I thought so because the reason I want to get the snow is because of the intergration it has for ableton, and the blofeld does not so might as well go for the snow just that I am going to be 990 euros less in my pocket. even though I found it in an online store where I got my genelect for 922 because it was a return from a client. One question is this synth headache from from technical electronic components because I do not want to shell 900 bucks for something that is probl

  • @atabeylive You can snag a Blofeld for about $450 used. You can snag a Blofeld keyboard for about $850-$950 used. For the money, I think the Blofeld sounds amazing. I like the Snow but it's a pricy synth. The integration within a DAW such as Ableton Live is why I bought it. The Blofeld doesn;t have such smooth integration in Ableton Live; meaning you can't use it as a VSTi within Ableton like you can with the Snow

I love the Snow; I find myself paying the Blofeld just as much though

  • @tjs6025 so what your saying you would of gotten the blofeld instead or this or you got the virus snow. Cause I am thinking of getting this synth in the summer, Around july.

  • Been eying this baby for a year or two now. I love the synth sounds it get on it's own with the oscillators, but I'm mostly excited about the audio in/out capabilities. I'd love to hear a drum machine or guitar run through this puppy. I'm getting aroused just thinking about it. Come on income tax!

  • I'm buying the Ti. I was looking @ the blofeld. I do like waldorfs sound its unique. But I think I will get both. Everywhere I've looked everyone says they are 2 very different machines. =)

  • any access synth is better than soft synth options i have the original virus and it shits all over any vst i have used in the past ,I would love a ti, you have made a great choise the only thing i found was the virus wasent quite subby enough for big subsonic basslines for this i use a 101 or a dave smith mopho best regards enjoy your snow....Ols
