both these fighters have one thing in common......best fighters ever, both had the Merlin's running. P51 is an American design, it was fitted with the British Merlin. It could take on any fuckin AXIS piece of shit

The air war was not only won by the pilots, aircraft and pure guts ... but also the Merlin. The definition of "Unsung Hero" belongs to Rolls, in my opinion.

the spit did not have the range that the mustang did and couldnt escort B17's and B24s all the way to Berlin and back form England. (i am a little bit biased here because my grandfather owes his life to the mustang being a bomber guy)
