090710 The first meal in the new digs - Foster Kittens

This clip was shot on July 10, 2009. As soon as Mom Peggy Sue entered the new compound, the kids voted for dinner. I know I film the kittens nursing a good bit, but they're so darn cute when they do. After this clip was done, the kittens, tummies full, retreated to the cozy spot and went to sleep.

Pregnant Peggy Sue Maples, as we dubbed her, was found by an STScI staff member, Sonia, and her sister, Monica. Peggy Sue is being fostered now and she and her family are featured on "The Adventures of Space Paws" (http://hubblespacepaws.blogspot.com). Hubble Space Paws was set up to promote responsible adoption of animals found by STScI staff. We hope to find forever parents who will lavish as much love on them as we do!
