This is a custom lightsaber handcrafted by Vader's Vault. The inspiration came from the Mace Windu saber, but as you will see it is a totally unique and stunning Jedi weapon. The saber is powered by the Plecter Labs Crystal Focus Saber Core 4.1 "Buttered Toast", "Holy Grail" of lightsaber soundcards. The board is driving a Cyan Bin 2 Luxeon V LED and 4 ultrabright T1 accent LEDs. Other features include exposed crystal chamber lighted with accent LEDs specially calibrated to match the blade color as closely as possible. The custom Vader's Vault low-profile activation box houses the main switch, a blue illuminated anti-vandal switch a tiny red auxiliary switch and the recharge port for economy of space and perfect functionality. The plecter labs CF 4.1 allows the crystal chamber to mirror the actions of the blade such as shimmering or slowly powering down. Each of the six sound banks causes the four accent LEDs to blink in a different random pattern. The saber is custom machined, both lathed and milled. It has unique custom comfortable and unobtrusive neoprene grip strips as well as a textured neoprene grip pad. The double overlays are a powder coated gloss black base overlay with a custom brass overlay on top for a multi-textured topography. The single crystal chamber is milled to a large window which shows of the hand selected natural quartz crystal.

When you can build things like this, it takes you beyond nerddom, and makes you an artiste. Yeah, I said it. Artiste.

  • Just sixty to eighty more years I'll bet. It's now 1911 and in the late 1950's will come the ruby lasers et al. But wouldn't it be neat to see where these lightsaber smiths will be in about another decade or more, love em, gotta have one too!
