Hmm, that's farmers the world over. They do seem to aquire unusual things that no sane person would keep!

the explosion was caused by a BLEVE not pressure from the steam. the only thing to take away from it is you never know what a farmer keeps in his barn and what are you really gunna save here?

Shooting cold water in when there's no vent point on the opposite side builds a preasure difference that needs to get out somewhere, they should have seen it coming.
