And they have been alot more successful than PJ in every way. As for guitarists, ask anyone who the best is and Eddie Van Halen will be up there with the best. Vetter isn't even in the same league. I remember listening to heavy music for years before all the people with no taste in high school went to college and decided Pearl Jam was okay and that heavy guitars could be listened to. Roth is simply the Mark Twain of rock. Vedder is some dickhead working at 7-11 and writing bad poetry.

Pearl Jam is mall music for people who previously never listened to good music and listed to late 80s/early 90s pop crap and never considered distorted guitars before. My XM radio is not working this week and I had to turn on some classic rock and mullet rock station. This afternoon, I turned it on and LITERALLY some just unlistenable shit of Kid Rock singing over another song was on, followed by "Evenflow." Pearl Jam is for the tasteless.
