John R. Burr is taking a solo during the Alison Brown Quartet show at the Towne Crier Cafe in Pawling, New York. He is having fun with the Beatles song, "Blackbird".

  • this guy is amazing...

  • everybody should listen to him on the song Big Roller which is on Stuart Hamm's new solo album

  • John R. Burr is also featured on the latest Alison Brown Album "The Company You Keep". Incredible layering throughout the album with his tight leads, fluid melodies and pure musical brilliance. Wish he would offer a master class!

  • I am a huge fan of John Burr. He is truly an ecellent extraordinary piano player. I wish i was a good as he was. Dude, you are truly a great pianist

  • Blackbird....awesome. This is one of my most favorite piano pieces. It's on his solo album.

  • Now one year later (from my comment below) John R. Burr's "For the Asking" is still one of my favorite songs/pieces .. of all time....

  • When is the next show?

  • If any of you remember Sim City 3000, he played piano on the soundtrack to that game.

  • WOOOOOW that sounds awesome!! the style is so fun to listen to, so different from just normal pop =)

  • The piece I just bought from itunes of John's "For the Asking" is now one of my favorite songs/pieces .. of all time! (Yes you read that right...)
