A new tradition in Jerusalem- Evangelical Christians gather for an annual day of prayer specifically for Jerusalem. The event, coordinated by Eagle's Wings Ministries, took place at the Haas Promenade, and was broadcasted across the globe.
Several Israeli officials arrived, including the mayor of Jerusalem, as well as representatives from the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus and the Center for Jewish Christian Understanding and Cooperation in Efrat.
Christian leaders took turns praying for peace- while expressing solidarity with Israel as well as encouraging local Arab Christians.
Although international political leverage of Evangelicals is still questionable, as well as the authenticity of Israeli friendship towards them- in the meantime cooperative functions between Christians and Israelis continue to blossom.
