My grand total of videos being watched/viewed (includes removed videos) is now over 3,000,000!!
To celebrate, here is a small test sample of how Phantom Hourglass can be TASed.
It looks easy to play on a real DS but its insanely hard to make an 100% optimised TAS.
Some notes:
After the earthquake I managed to get onto the next screen without being dizzy despite performing 4 quick rolls. This is caused by getting dizzy on a next screen trigger point.
When performing this you can skip the dizziness and your roll counter is reset. This also works in dungeon stairways too. Its pretty hard to do this in real time because you need to be very precise on where you end up rolling to.
For drawing number 7 drawing I did 2 frames from the start, then 2 frames onto the point where the line changes direction and 2 frames on the end point. If you still dont get it then read the annotations that I will add soon.
After getting the Oshus Sword and get taken away by Oshus himself, there are a few frames that you can move but you cant talk to him yet. If I talk to him Link would need to move forward a few steps after touching Oshus.
So I saved frames first by moving forward and then wait til the game accepts the talking to Oshus command at the earliest possible frame.
During the sword training, on the second phase where you need to sketch a line between Link and his target (to do a thrust attack), for some odd reason after the first accepted thrust, if I do a second thrust right after the first one to destroy the bottom right pole the game DOESNT accept it as a sketch command and so Oshus gets angry at you and adds on another pole that was taken down.
Check out TASvideos.org and head to the forums where I will be adding on how Link does what move/attack in a TAS fashion.
This tool-assisted speedrun, played by me (GREENALINK) This movie was made on an emulator, with frame-by-frame shooting, savestates and rerecords. It is NOT meant to show skill; it is ONLY supposed to provide entertainment. Therefore, any anti-TAS comments will be deleted instantly, and the poster will be permanently blocked. Visit http://tasvideos.org/ for more information on tool-assisted speedruns, and to watch the many already-existing TASes.

i went to the tasvideos and went to forums but how do i doanload desmume?!?

So you went to the forums:
*On the right half of the page shows emulators, go to :
DS emulators (DeSmuME),
1st page of DeSmuME emulator development topic.
And right click on 'here' and save target as from:
"For now, it can be found here. "
You'll download a Zip file that will contain a Desmume Emulator with Re-recording features. It doesn't let you play Phantom Hourglass at 100% but if you record an AVI and play it back, it would be 100%.

what emulator did you use does it cost any money? and where can i get roms?
mushycomics 2 years ago
No roms and emulators doesn't cost anything. However it's illegal to download a rom game that you do NOT own a original copy. For example I don't have Megaman ZX so it's illegal for me to download the rom.
Just go to google and search a 'insert game name' Rom.
For emulators 'instert Console name' emulator.
There's some online sites and the TASvideos forums on how to use the rom and emulator.
