Southern California Veterinary Dental specialties is a state of the art veterinary dental referral hospital. Dr. Brook Niemiec is a board certified veterinary dental specialist. Not only are we the best dentists, we provide superior patient care and client experience.
Our initial examination and consultation will allow us to develop a preliminary treatment plan for your pet. In addition, it will allow us to ensure that your pet is safe for anesthesia by performing a physical exam as well as reviewing all medical tests. However, a conscious oral exam cannot be complete, and we never know exactly what we are going to do until the patient is under anesthesia and we have performed an exam under general anesthesia and exposed dental radiographs. For this reason, we schedule our procedures while the client waits. The client is then invited into the dental operatory to see their pet under anesthesia and review the oral exam and dental radiographs. Based on this, a final oral healthcare plan will be created and we will perform all necessary therapy at that time. The client can then go have lunch or run errands while we work and we will call when the patient is in recovery. By the time they client returns and is discharged, the patient is ready to go home. We will full educate you so that you can be part of the decision making process. It is our goal that your pet not be placed into a cage while in our care.
