Hi Maciek , good to here it's back together - not so with mine! - does the fiat plate have the same 10 spline centre?
Cheers Jon - I'll post a vid when I get it fixed

Im investigating the use of a Skoda 100 Estelle clutch plate, should be a good job.
I have a R80/7 motor and have just rebuilt the gearbox!

Nice outfit, I've done the same with a R80/MT11. did you find a clutch plate to fit or did you have to make one ?- mine's destroyed two home made ones, they lasted about 6000km...

Hi,
the clutchplate was already fitted by the previous owner and so far (5000 km) it works perfectly. The russian gearbox, however, is slowly dying from BMW engine power surplus... I will have to overhaul it pretty soon. Still - I wouldn't even think about selling this machine! Greetings.

Hi triumphjon,
my first clutchplate was the original BMW but now I've fitted a new one from a Fiat Cinquecento which has proper diameter but still required some corrections in terms of the multi-groove length (it had to be lengthened) . It's doing well so far.
Take care and show some vids! Greetings, Maciek

Hi,
an original Dnepr chassis will fit an BMW engine without welding however the original russian gearbox must be kept - BMW gearbox power outtake spins the other way round. Generally new engine makes an MT a powerhorse which is much fun to drive. I was able to go 140 km/h on the highway and in the city one can easily race with fast passenger cars. And most importantly: one doesn't have to worry about engine quality.
Greetings,
Maciek

yo,
I think the rebuild must be done by a specialized garage due to complications with clutch plate centering . The engine as such fits without even welding on the chassis. You'll have to keep the original gearbox, though.
Jah oh Jah Ras Tafari!
