@KathiMethi You want them in skimpy dresses so that they get ogled or raped by spiritual slum dogs like me? They are trying to respect the culture. You need to jump into Ganges next time for a nice cleansing. You know swimming? Nothing can irritate your Self.

The Aarti at Rishikesh is very, very beautiful and touching. I have seen it twice and I'd love to see and experience it again and again. The only thing that slightly 'irritated' me were the 'firengis' wrapped in funny bedsheets and fancy clothes, trying hard to be more indian than the indians themselves .... Most ridiculous thing: western women wearing indian Sarees .... Anyway, the entire place itself is gorgeous!

The lady in white was there in June 2005 and then again in October 2006. She is a resident of Rishikesh it seems and has her own unique way of doing "sadhna". We don't know what her inner feelings could be, so let us respect her .
