The saxophone was great. My father had two of them (a tenor and an alto). Everyone in our house had a musical instrument. I could not read music but I could listen to it and play it "by ear".

I remember my father playing Wilson Pickett records, Otis Redding,The *MUSIC* was poetry, had feeling; finding it was not a search for a needle in a haystack. We listened to music CREATED BY HUMANS, not a bunch of cheap electronic sounds manufactured from the Corporate music "industry". MUSIC, I agree, Is not made anymore; Can't even hear it in order to listen to it with no more PERFORMANCES because no bands, no MUSICians seen playing instruments, just a lip sync to electronic sounds instead.
