I was at some mudd island in the Mississippi not to far from the Beale street and Memphis. It had some ferry mockup which you could walk through; in one room, there was some kind of olf female blues singing music. I don't know how to describe my feelings about it; i was mystified I guess. I knew for a long time I was into the blues. I just thought I'd relate at least that story. I've had two box sets(3 and 4) of Bessie Smith; i found this while looking at the other box sets on amazon . . .
