Nick Hanauer, Seattle based entrepreneur joins Thom Hartmann. And the tug of war continues on Capitol Hill over extending the payroll tax cut that will expire at the end of the month - but not everyone in the one percent supports the Republican's agenda of protecting the interests of the super-rich at the expense of the 99 percent. The clocking is ticking down on Capitol Hill and the GOP seems completely unconcerned that their latest game of chicken may well cost YOU over a thousand dollars.

  • @ShatterNWO Its easier from him to tell this lie to keep everyone in the left/right paradigm then to face the truth about the corruption in his party that he constantly is defending. And its easier for Thomtards to keep drinking his koolaid than to do their own research.

  • @truthout911 I know, this completely destroys the myths progressives love to tell about how excessive taxing brings prosperity.

  • @braithmorgan Did you know that the presidents economic recovery plan was designed at least in part by a Wall St. so called 1%er who recently somehow managed to make over a billion dollars from his clients' account disappear? funny how Hartmann hasnt mentioned this former Democratic senator from NJ and his criminal activity. or that the current administration has prosecuted fewer finanical fraud cases than the previous 4 admins? nope. but he's speaking for the "99%"?

  • @InfiniteMischief hartmann is an operative for the democratic party. he's there to keep the hegalian dialectic going.

  • I just dont get it. all this talk about OWS and the so called 1%ers, and Hartmann continues to support this prez who has surrounded himself with the very same 1%ers he claims to railing against? in Spanish we have a saying: "Dime con quien andas te dire quien eres" Translation: Tell me who you hang around with and Ill tell you who you are. Hartmann why dont we talk about the fact that your prez had prosecuted fewer cases of finanical fraud than the previous 4 prezidents??.

  • if we took every cent of every mega rich person we would not even come CLOSE to solving the debt that has been invented in America...does anyone really understand how big a trillion is? The FED just bailed out the Euro for another 7 trillion and we watch shows like this perpetuating the MYTH of the left/right political paradigm. This mainstream bullshit is part of the problem because it is a distraction while the 1% try and make their getaway.

  • When Nick said, an economy properly understood, isn't like an ecosystem it actually is an ecosystem - instead of hoping for something to trickle down from the wealthy, the idea of promoting a healthy, working, prospering middle-class should be the focus, cuz it is a robust middle-class that makes the wealthy even wealthier. The Nirods that are greedily trying to crush the middleclass are shooting themselves in the foot, its crazy but, I think it will be the thing that pushes us all into action.

  • @truthout91 MORON...

  • Thanks Nick I have nothing but respect for you for doing this...

  • I am English I am only interested in american politics because its funny.

  • Wouldn't say all the republican candidates!...

  • Sickening.

  • Yep. The USA is the Greatest show on Earth. Unfortunately, the encore is world devastation. ET gets the last laugh.

  • This is brilliant

  • 1951 was the year that the IRS started to enforce the tax code on the majority of US citizens. People like the Kennedys, the Rovkefellers who were in that top 1% never paid 74% of their incomes to the govt, especially with all the tax shelters available in the tax codes. More ProgressaCunts lies to fool dumb down Thomtards.

  • Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.

When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?"

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible".-Matthew 19:23-26

God bless you in Truth, Nick, for your sincere and correct testimony here. Peace be with you.

  • How can you not have your criminal wall street pals prosecuted, Head Criminal?

  • fuck trickle down.
