This is an enhanced version, with more pictures and info, about Gavin the little blind shetland sheepdog found wandering cornfields.
Blind dogs, and those with other special needs, do incredibly well. Dogs don't know words like 'disability' or 'handicap', they only crave love, care and companionship from their humans.
Please consider adopting a special needs dog. Without adopters, like the ones in this video, many special needs dogs like Gavin would be put to sleep when they have so much love yet to give.

  • Oh believe me, he is all dog! He runs and plays with the other dogs, gets up on the furniture etc. If he was left at animal control, he wouldn't be here anymore, to be anything.

  • This made me cry so hard!! I love animals so much and dogs especially. I can't imagine how scary and hard it must have been for Gavin before he was rescued, and I am SO happy he got a happy ending. All dogs deserve a happy ending!

  • Yay for him finding a forever home. Rescue dogs make great pets.

  • petprojectblog (INSERT DOT) com/archives/cats/optivisor-novaguard-two-more-alternatives-to-elizabethan-collar/ Found this on those terms and it looks like there's some great alternatives to the cone of shame

  • what a beautiful video.... search for "optivizor and novaguard" in google. There is a facebook fan page helping to support blind dogs and dogs in recovery. The optivizor can really help these special members of our family.
