I definitely agree, EJ is nie, but it's too smooth and I don't like all the delay he uses, it masks the natural sound of the guitar.

Actually his tone is great. It reads as if I said it was generic but what I meant was that it is NOT generic and that he should stick with that nice open tone and not go into the ultra smooth territory. VERY NICE.

I disagree, I think he's found the perfect balance between the singing violin EJ tone, and the typical strat growl.
