BBC and Sky News squabble over Gillian Duffy, the pensioner described as 'a bigoted woman' by Prime Minister Gordon Brown. What does she think of the PM's comments?
@aeronuk1 If you really want to assert yourself as being somehow more British (whatever that means), perhaps you should begin by learning to spell? And stop reading that BNP literature, it makes you seem stupid.
@aeronuk1 Wow, you're really struggling, aren't you? First I'm an uneducated, untravelled lefty, then I'm either a nasty dirty foreigner whom you'll no longer speak to, I'm a middle class idiot who knows nothing of the 'real' Britain, or I'm just full of bs.
And you've JUST NOW looked at my channel?! Yes, I have an interest in other cultures, and I watch videos in other languages because I can, be that French, Japanese, Cantonese, Italian or English. That's an issue for you? Why?
@TheCrayonmonkey Well I only have you're word for it that you live in a truely multicultural area with a low crime rate don't I? I have my doubts though...I mean, I have seen multicultural areas in my own city and they sure don't look like safe low crime areas to me! and I would think the same would be true of other cities in other parts of the country. Maybe you live in a nice white suburb and you're idea of "vibrant and dynamic" is living next to the local Pakistani corner shop..?
@aeronuk1 That sneer is hardly of value. But, I'll answer it. The crime rate in my area is certainly higher than I would like. But it's within average for the UK, and low compared to other urban zones. In what I would term 'my community' there have been three incidents this year, one burglary and two ASBs. All perpretrators were very white and very British. Perhaps they share your sentiments. The victims in two cases are a Pakistani family.
Any other incorrect assumptions you wish to share?
@aeronuk1 Meh, you're boring me. I live within a vibrant, dynamic community. You may speak for yourself. As for suggesting that I wait, "lazily expecting things to come" to me, you know nothing about me. You don't know where I've lived, where I've travelled, what I've experienced. It seems like, rather than pick up a book and check some facts, you'll just make an assumption and roll out a personal attack.
Come back when you have something of value to say.
@TheCrayonmonkey It's interesting that you love living in a "diverse community" because mixing everyone up is actually having the opposite effect. Melting pot = no diversity. The globalisation agenda will actually make the world a very dull and boring place where cultures and peoples blend into one.
And if you want to learn from other cultures as you said then maybe you should actually travel around a bit and learn that way instead of lazily expecting things to come to you.
@aeronuk1 It's not 'crap'. It's history. The English are not a 'pure' race, and haven't been for well over 2000 years. And I welcome what you call a 'mass immigration programme'. I love living within a diverse, interesting community, where there's always something new to learn. If you want to sit in your little house surrounded by jingoist paraphenalia, refusing to give money to that shop/restaurant/bar/product because it just ain't British then that's up to you. But thanks for the giggle!
