...accidentally from someone's skin into my abdomen when he took out my ruptured spleen.
We sucked out the ball of it, but it took six more weeks of very strong anti-biotic to get it out of my bloodstream, and another year to get rid of the colony just inside my nose. SO WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE YOU TOUCH A PATIENT.

Terrific video with cute kids reminding us of our responsibility to wash our hands,especially just before and after contact with hospital patients. Why?
Because "we don't want to get sick" -- and we don't want others to get sick just because we forgot to wash our hands.
That picture of the microscopic MRSA squirming sent a chill up my spine as I remembered detective work with my doctors to find what seemed about to kill me. We found it was MRSA deposited by a surgeon ...
