MY LORD!!! what a machine!! :-) you can tell through the video how good pictures are recordered
we hope they fixed it all problems of previous models

Does anyone know if this will make it to the US?
-
I've just checked on the Japanese Panasonic site - they now have a DMR-BW880 in Japan which has a hard disk of 1TB (i.e. 1,000 gigabytes).
Why will the version that they will be sending to Europe have only half that capacity (i.e. 500 gigabytes)?
Presumably they won't be sending over their flagship model (the DMR-BWT3000) - that's got 2 TB capacity hard disk!!!!!! (I think it is a 3D recorder/player too)
-
Panasonic UK say they don't know anything about a replacement for the 850, but it seems that the DMR-BS880EB-K will come to the UK at the end of June 2010 (basically the same as the 850, but with a faster boot-up time, faster dubbing to DVD - hopefully!!)

I've heard that there will be a new model later in 2010 coming to the UK - same features but a faster boot-up time. Does anyone know any more about this?
it's a nice dvd recorder, if only panasonic would start to make their dvd recorders more reliable, the dvd optical drives don't last very long, there always failing, bad lasers and it costs nearly as much as a new one to fix, just check out how many complaints online about panasonic dvd recorders, i went through 3 in 4 years, i'm tired of buying them, panasonic needs to get it right, they'd be great dvd recorders if not for poor quality parts. i hope yours does better.

I dont think blu ray recorder are flying off the shelf from what i know in australia. I bought it so i can record f1 in hd as my reason. :)
