part 1 / 2: The modern Periodical Technical Inspection (PTI)

From 2006 to 2009 extensive adaptations of the regulations on the periodical technical inspection of vehicles were elaborated under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Transport in Germany. This was the basis for a modern and service-oriented periodical technical inspection, which meets the needs of a sustainable and safe mobility on the road for the 21st century.
To keep pace with the rapid developments in the areas of vehicle electronics and vehicle components, FSD Fahrzeugsystemdaten GmbH collaborated with the German Ministry of Transport to develop a universal PTI-specific OBD-Connector (PTI-Connector).
This film introduces methods of operation as well as fields of application for the universal PTI-Connector in modern periodical technical inspections.
