Their bassist Chris Glen during a radio interview recalled a SAHB gig at the Glasgow Apollo were the band suddenly stopped the music during their blues classic 'Framed'. In the silence Alex Harvey said to the the crowd “Ah didn't do nothing” then a voice from the crowd shouted “You shagged ma sister”. Chris said the band could hardly play on for laughing so much.

ppl who think this is just a Blues based band, check out there other stuff.?

The music they did was very diverse...incredibly creative band.

They were the live intro B band to 'Slade', who had numerous N# 1 hit in UK, in my teens. 'Alex' had a simple "lantern" which he shone like a laser beam, across the audience while singing this song. It was unnerving.! He was an incredible performer using the most simple stage prop's.

This "B" band live got me into serious music. While the main band 'Slade' were a pile of total crap, live...studio as well. imo.

It's the "duhd" that does it. As in "FRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME----DUHD!". Is Duhd a sub genre waiting to be discovered? No it's the name of the new road warrior doom-prog band I have just formed in my mind high on the intoxicating fumes of burning nylon stockings. Used stockings. Scraped from the pish soaked floor of the Barra's bogs. I am also a Glaswegian for which there is no cure.

Don't think Ive ever seen a guy so in his element relaxed & tuned into an audience as Alex. Stage presence just came natural. Wonder if he was the actual Daddy of Punk ? Great Band too . Wish Alex & the band were with us now !

This is so good! Zal's playing and tone is top notch. And Alex sometimes reminds me a little bit of Robert DeNiro, anybody else thought of that?
