This is a trailer for a documentary I am producing about my own struggles to stop taking the antidepressant Paxil. The film includes expert interviews and explores the risk and dangers associated with antidepressants.

  • This video sums it up. Psychiatrists giving patients anti-depressants cause suffering and death. No one believes the patient. Not the doctors... not the psychiatrists... not even the EMERGENCY rooms. Patients are treated like experiments and no one believes them.

  • I'm still damaged 3 years later. My adrenal glands are very unstable and my brain is damaged.

I felt so alone when I was going through the withdrawals.

  • @dannyboidj1 Mentally I am ok, as long as I do what I stated above - stay away from stimulating substances, activities, etc. If I fail to follow that I will have OCD like symptoms, derealization, extreme anxiety, memory problems, etc.

  • @pantheongaia so you are still able to function mentally? the only brain damage you are talking about is the adernal crisis?

  • @dannyboidj1 So, if that is what qualifies as permanent damage, then yes, I am permanently damaged. But in order to be as positive as I can about this situation, I must look at it as permanently changed. So I can't have a coffee or go to a concert. I can find other interests and other treats that are gentle on my body. I haven't given up. Nor should you. Be very gentle with yourself (if you have taken this sort of drug).

  • @dannyboidj1 However, I wasn't taking proper care of my body and ended up in adrenal crisis again last summer, to which I am once again recovering. I have learned that I need to stay away from stimulating substances (caffeine, even chocolate, any rec. drug - though I'm not keen on that anyway, sugar, etc.) and stimulating activities in order to maintain a stable and comfortable physical condition. It will probably be like this for the rest of my life. (cont. in next post)

  • @dannyboidj1 At the time of posting I was having an adrenal crisis, and it was happening 3 years post-SSRIs. It was partially due to what may be permanent damage, and partially due to my need for CBT to learn how to cope with every day life (something that I should have done INSTEAD of taking psych drugs).

I recovered somewhat after posting that comment, but was still very limited in my life (can't work, dealing with agoraphobic tendencies, etc.). (cont. in next post)

  • @pantheongaia are you ok now? crap i am afarid that drug effects can be permanent! please comment how do you feel?

  • EMPTY

  • @paulswebdiscounts YEP... AND NO ONE BELIEVES THEM BECAUSE EVERYONE IS STUPID AS HELL OR...EVIL. THAT'S WHAT IT ALWAYS SEEMS COMES DOWN TO... ARE YOU STUPID?? OR EVIL???

  • Where can I see this entire video? Is it out yet?

  • Emotional numbness is not the only kind of effect people are complaining about with SSRIs. There are now over 2,300 people belonging to a support group on Yahoo that are reporting sexual dysfunction that does not go away, even after being off the drugs for years.
