Thank you so much for elevating the conversation about voter reform...I just watched "Hacking Democracy" (HBO films) downloaded from iTunes-- Amazing!!! Electronic machines just let folks steal our votes.

WE need to go back to paper & pencil votes -- just like the rest of the Western democracies: Canada, France, Germany, England, Ireland. Let EVERY vote be counted and let every vote COUNT!!!

Actually our government is a republic, but we are ALSO a representative democracy. So we are really a bit of both.

electronic voting is not the answer. making voting easier is not the answer.

making sure MY vote IS COUNTED CORRECTLY is the only thing that matters.

are you not aware that they a part of the UN? and i agree with you. its the bilderberger/skullbones boys. rockefeller (self proclaimed in memories book 2002)rothschild...we could go forever w/ this list. points still the same though. nwo. And that difference is what? Your explanation above makes no sense. Democracy doesn't result in QUICK decisions!! Quick decisions are made by kings! To suggest that republics react slowly but democracies react quickly needs to be backed up with some examples. We have a "Constitutional Democracy", in that we have an agreement on the form of decisionmaking that involves representational, rather than direct, democracy....

It's not the U.N. that is invalidating the constitution!! It's this lawless Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rice/Gonz­ales/Rove regime and their criminal enablers in Congress, esp. Bill Frist, Tom DeLay, James Sensenbrenner, etc. from the previous Congress, who refused to restrain them as they took away ever more rights.

By the way, "simple majority" in a three way candidate race means no majority at all because it means less than half, a plurality. "In a democracy" voters are not restricted to imposing an overwhelming majority on legislatures. Sometimes to countermand a charter change, provisions can be inserted that require a % greater than the eneacting %.
