he says his father was a singer and loved listening to Ustad bade ghuam ali khan. Due to the love he had for bade ghulam ali khan he named his son ghulam ali. He then requested bade ghulam ali khan to become his son's ustad. Bade ghulam ali khan accepted and gave the boy to his brother barkat ali khan for training.
