Jimmy Jack (Original)

Here's my newest original song. It's about a teenage rocker named Jimmy Jack. Hope you like the song. More to come.

VERSE 1:
Jimmy Jack was playing out back, jamming on guitar,
My sister she was hooked on him, said he was gonna' be a star.
He had real long hair, it was down to there, and he had patches on his jeans,
And all the cats said he was where it's at, he was a legend in his teens.

VERSE 2:
Sammy Sims, he played the skins and sang behind Jimmy Jack,
He could twirl his sticks, do rolls and tricks and keep a bass drum right on track.
His mom and dad said he'd gone bad when he joined that rockin' band,
He was so uptight, he slept at night with drum sticks in his hand.

CHORUS:
Down the road they used to go,
Always going someplace for another show.
Girls and cars and all things that money can bring.

VERSE 3:
Some guy in a suit and tie came a-knocking at the door,
He signed the band to make a record and in a month it hit the store.
When that album sold it went straight to gold and it shook up everything,
My sister read that Elvis said Jimmy was the King.

VERSE 4:
Jimmy Jack would hit the sack with any honey he could find,
He had a girl for now and a girl for then, he was having such a time.
He was on TV and my sister she just cried a bloody storm,
Cause when Jimmy sang, the heavens rang like an all-out fire alarm.

(REPEAT CHORUS)

VERSE 5:
"Good golly, little Miss Molly", Jimmy used to scream,
"Splish splash, I was taking a bath" and "My baby's such a dream".
But one night, out of sight, Jimmy shot himself and died,
My sister went right off the edge and never went outside.

VERSE 6:
Sometimes the words and rhymes are too good to be true,
And behind the cash and the camera flash, he was just like me and you.
No Jimmy Jack ain't coming back but he's a shinning star,
And there's kids today that just want to play like Jimmy on guitar.
