I love this song. it is one of my favorites. I love the movie Jazz Singer. It was the best one. My mom got to meet Neil in person Backstage after the concert in 1986 and brought him a doze yellow roses to his dressing room and she was the only who did that. She said he is down to earth and they talked for over 2 hours. Later that week she got a personal letter from him. I still have the Book she got at the concert.

i have to say, nice job neil diamond, BUT..... my music teacher makes us sing this over and over again to auto-mated voices and sound too perfect, so I'm not crazy about this song anymore........

@SStephane09 It is nice that you recognize and appreciate these things. I wish more Americans that were born here in the States could too appreciate those freedoms instead of blaming the U.S. for all of the worlds problems.
