Breathtaking footage of Daniel Kramer, Frauke Requardt and James Fenton's trail-blazing dance theatre collaboration.

Moments from death, Mussorgsky's life flashes before his eyes. The most powerful urges of worship and domination, love and loss, death and commemoration burst out of the music and onto the stage in a beautiful nightmare.

  • Yes all good and superb stuff but, dear friends, this is not "breathtaking footage" as the e-flyer and description state, but merely a blurred video of a dance company in the rehearsal room and an actor saying a few lines. I am sure the production itself is great (didn't see it) but I wish the Vic's marketing guys could stop shouting about their YouTube trailers as if they were the hottest thing since sliced bread.

  • Went again on the last day, absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to see some of the actors and dancers in forthcoming events whatever they may do - keep up the good work.

  • I saw the show last night and was completely blown away by the energy of the piece. I found it very moving and thought-provoking. Great music too. I had little idea as to what was going on, but I let that feeling go, and just sat in awe and enjoyment... and discomfort. It stirred a whole range of emotions in me.

  • Excellent !!! was also there for opening night.Unusual to say the least! no idea what was going on for most of it but very entertaining, would recommend it. (pianist was brilliant)

  • I've seen this show as well and it's completely breath-taking. You really must see it if you can.

  • Was lucky enough to be on the front row on the opening night of this, absolutely fantastic. Well done all you were magnificent and I came away with a big smile on my face.
