Hey they're playing this again! :) I've been getting lots of "I saw you on TV!"s. Can you add some tags to the video like 'blood services commerical' or something? It's hard to find in a search :) Thanks again for posting it!!
I hope lots of people donate now that it's playing again.

When Canadian Blood Services is serious about saving lives, give me a call.
Let gay/bi men donate blood, and test it properly to see if it's safe (odds are it is).

Unfortunately, it is not up to CBS to decide if they should or shouldn't accept Gay/Bisexual Men. Canadian Blood Services reports to Health Canada and they have the decision over whether to accept Gay/Bi Men. If you wonder why they haven't accepted their blood, look at who's in power. The federal Harper Conservatives wanted to vote a second-time on whether or not same-sex unions should be legal, this AFTER it was voted by a majority in the house of commons that it should be legal.

Let me get this straight: there's supposedly a blood shortage, yet CBS won't accept donations from gay/bi men, due to there being a small chance they have HIV (though they make is sound a lot more common for some reason). They don't discriminate against anyone else, despite young women being far more likely to have communicable blood diseases, and on top of that the vast majority of gay men are totally healthy.

I don't give blood and never will. 4 hours after its taken out of a human body 70% of it is dead tissue. It becomes nothing more than a filler and patients are given atibiotics to help fight infections.
Yet, there are produced fillers that help blood volume that is clean and sterile that actually help make red blood cells and patients that are given it generally recover faster.

Do you have a source or proof of this? In other words, where did you hear or read this?
