@ponteribe Does the espresso seem to have too much water? If you do not see crema on the top then you didn't get a good extraction. Make sure your doser (the knob with + and -) are actually moving the control arm. If you disassembled the unit to adjust the grinder-- make absolutely sure you pushed the two back pegs (from the back cover) into the holes on the back of the motor. Without this the teeth on the grind will not line up.

@maestro300 Hi, I also have a saeco like the video, but my problem is that by adjusting the grind the coffee comes with plenty of water .. undrinkable .. What could be?
-
1. REASSEMBLY: Make sure the red line on the outer ring is still at the 9 o’clock position. Place the upper burr back into the grinder making sure the red line (on the upper burr) is at the 3 o’clock position.
-
2. Now that the burr is in place, rotate the outer ring clockwise until it stops. The two red
lines should be aligned at the 3 o’clock position underneath the doser adjustment gear. Now put the soft rubber gasket back on the upper burr. The fins help to align it properly. After that is done, slide the doser adjustment gear toward the front of the machine until it stops.
-
3. Take the bean hopper and rotate the grinder adjustment wheel to Zero (0), and the
doser adjustment wheel to minus symbol (-). Place the bean hopper back into position on the machine. You may have to slightly adjust each adjustment wheel as you are placing it down in the machine. Once completely in place put the 3 screws in place that hold the hopper to the machine.
-
4. Test each adjustment wheel through the full range of motion. The grinder should rotate
from 0 to 18 and back, and the doser from Minus (-) to Plus (+) and back. Once you have checked the adjustment wheels, place the grinder adjustment at the eight
(8) positions and place the doser adjustment to the halfway point between the Plus (+), and the
Minus (-) symbol. This will put the machine back to the configuration originally specified from
the factory.

@sunnpuppy There is a calibration error in my video. So the grinder is probably still set too fine even on coarse settings. See my new posts:
Thanks, your video is a great tutorial. I am having a problem on my Italia with the brew group gear. The gear that controls the brew group on my Italia is not moving properly. I created a video of it here: watch?v=HvBQ-zxe_h8 Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!

@thundermaster77 As I posted this on your linked video-- if others experience this problem it isn't the ratio motor. It is actually the controller board/power supply assembly that is behind the front panel. I had one do the same thing-- by swapping out the controller board it fixed this issue. Could be a problem with one of the voltage regulators but I'm not too experienced with troubleshooting the electronics parts.

I have changed the burr grinder but I continue to have issues.. it still times out before grinding enough beens, and it also sometimes simply wont do anything when I push the button for the coffee.. could it be the motor for the grinder?

@sunnpuppy Sorry for the late reply. So the grinder runs continuously and then times out? This is usually due to either too fine of a grind or use of oily beans. They cause a backup in the chute. You can try to clear that by removing the brew group and pulling down the trap-hatch directly above where the brew group would sit. You can see the chute there-- use a paper clip and try to dislodge whatever is stuck.
