Then you go to MENU> SETTINGS & TOOLS> PHONE SETTINGS>SECRITY> ENTER LOCK CODE> RESET DEFULT> i have to reset my phone somtimes but you can always fix it

@mapmaker909 I love this phone but I had problems recently with this phone just not sending my text messages... I don't know if it was a fluke with the phone I had itself.... if its the model in general or if the network was actin screwy at the time. I could send and receive calls as well as receive texts I just couldn't send them... I switched back to the Samsung Reality I had and haven't had these problems

@mrlotsohugginbear I just bought mine off ebay but I know a guy that works at Verizon and before I bought the phone I asked if it required a data plan and he said it didn't... coincidentally i am now using a smart phone without a data plan so... that phone might very well require one and he just never put it on our bill
