Bank shots are just one area where I need to improve my game, so I added this drill to my practice routine.

  • Nice run! Do you use any special banking methods? For example the "second table" method where you visualize an imaginary second table adjacent to your table and shooting at the the imagery opposite pocket? Mike Defino, a former pro taught me that, but it was too complicated for me, so I just try to visualize the shot instead.

  • Banks are one of the weaker parts of my game, so in this drill I was just trying to see and feel each shot, no system involved. Varying the shots with speed and cut angle. More than most shots, banking takes a LOT of practice!

  • what are you doing on the last ball?

  • hitting it too soft for that angle. poor stroke!

  • is there any space on the ball placement?

  • there's a little space, maybe a quarter ball diameter, but it's not very specific.
