where i live is a little hard to find this kind of thin leather, will i get bad results using synthetic leather to do the briding?

@osodeoz It will depend a lot on the strength of the material you are going to use. The only way to find out is to to a test plait around something and see how it works out.

Thanks for the video! For some reason, I just couldn't find _any_ good tutorials about how to do a hollow 1-over-1-under braid with more than 4 measly strands. I had been trying to do a 12-strand by taking 6 strands and slowly spiraling them around, weaving the other 6 through the whole mess, one by one, and needing to stop every couple rotations to untangle everything. This method works _much_ better.
