Whenever I visit the site of Kilcrea Abbey & castle Co. Cork Ireland, I wonder about the lives of the people who lived there 500 years ago. At the start of this film Terrence McKenna is speaking about the Rig Veda of ancient Hinduism. Apparently (if McKenna isn't making it up as he goes along :-) a lot of old knowledge has been lost in India. He goes on to talk about the book burning at the Alexandria library. This place, near where I grew up was also burned (by Cromwells forces). Who knows what knowledge was lost during this process. There are parallels, I think between ancient Celtic, Hindu & other cultures. Maybe the early Christian monks that lived at this friary, were closer to an ancient an shamanic existence than we'd normally consider. Let me also put forward the notion that old shamanic cultures at these important sites were connected in some way. Some New Age material suggests that within the Kingdom of Atlantis, there existed advanced technologies. Let me propose that these technologies allowed the Celts, the Native Americans, the Mayans, the Egyptians & the people of Tibet to run organised tribal societies, which existed in harmony with the planet over massive spans of time. Men of science won't agree of course but I'm more than happy to reply to any comments or messages I recieve.
