  • what do you do with the cut end???

  • @vampiretiffiany After we cut the sunflowers we put the soil and the ends into our compost bin. Or you can just throw it into your yard or garden and let the birds have at it.

  • Wonderful, wonderful video. I will incorporate it in my raw food blog.

  • @BlackVeganWarrior Thank you!

  • After you place the sprouted seeds in the dirt, do you expose them to sunlight? I'm trying to decide if I should put them by a window or not.

  • @Choirchick100 indirect sunlight.

  • Well done thx

  • @magylyn Black Oil Sunflower Seeds, available at any Wallmart.

  • Thanks!!!!!!

I want to do this but I can't find seeds that haven't been roasted.

  • @magylyn That is what Minh and I use. It is a long explanation, but basically, you will be eating the sprout that grows from the seed, not the seed itself. We have been using the cheap ( $16. for 25 pounds ) seeds for years.
