@aruchimu It definitely has its flaws. Geneon really got cheap (and lazy) with some of their last productions before they went out of business.

@alphamone That could explain it, yes. Anything the VAs themselves had problems with can be chalked up to inexperience.

It seems that the biggest problem with the voice acting was that the voice director wasn't doing their job, which is a big problem when you have new actors, and are on a very tight budget (I seriously doubt that geneon would have been able to afford to have the voice actors do multiple takes)

I love how Nanoha doesn't look angry or vengeful when she walks out of the fire.

Just calm and ready to blow stuff up.

Ouch. The dub really IS bad. I knew that from the first season, but... well, her delivery was OK on "Maybe I am a demon..."

But then, they destroyed the second half of the line, and that's got nothing to DO with the awful voice acting.

"It's ok if I'm a demon... I'll just have to use my hellish tools to make you listen!" has a lot more impact than the poorly translated line.
