  • how about there is no god and both the arabs and the jews are insane.

  • When & how did a belief in one God begin?

    .

I can see clear and obvious historical progressions; From Judaism sprang Christianity, and then Islam.

All three are monotheistic Abrahamic faiths.

    .

I can not see how a monotheistic (one God) Jewish faith developed from the polytheistic (many gods) faith of the Egyptians. I know Abraham is regarded as the first Jew at a time when the Jews were living in Egypt.

  • The original Jews where polytheists, it was the Persians that turned them monotheists

  • @bigheadrascal also "jews" are those that follow a religion, the ethnicity is Hebrew; Hebrews are a type of Arab, it's all one ethnicity causing issues in the world through religion. Three separate factions, splitting the same story three ways, getting the rest of the world to kill themselves over these myths they plagiarized from the Egyptians.

  • @bigheadrascal completely agree

  • @canabe100 Yes I completely agree, it is suggested that Moses was Ramesses I (Ra-moses) and Abraham was Akhenaten, the hebrews not the slaves, but the conquering tribes of egypt. There are too many parallels in the bible & ancient egypt history/mythology to be ignored. The book 'SECRETS OF THE EXODUS - DID THE PHAROAHS WRITE THE BIBLE' by Sabbah, is an extremely interested examination of the subject, I recommend.

  • @bigheadrascal not cool :(

  • I 'm am an amateur archeologist with an interest in origins of monotheism. If you look @ the time frame Hebrew belief in one God might not have been that concrete but in the "Exodus" period Akhenaten shook Egyptian culture to it's roots. After "Tut" the Pharaohs that "knew not Joseph" ruled, thus Exodus & an argument could be made Akhenaten.

  • Akhenaten is the inventor of monotheism.

and there was no first exodus.

  • @Quiltinguk read about Akhenaten and his radical religious reform of egypt. it is believed he may be in relation to Joseph and an influence on Moses

  • @gugamilare

    Thanks
