The groundbreaking, category-shattering trio Time for Three transcends traditional classification, with elements of classical, country western, gypsy and jazz idioms forming a blend all its own. The members -- Zachary (Zach) De Pue, violin; Nicolas (Nick) Kendall, violin; and Ranaan Meyer, double bass -- carry a passion for improvisation, composing and arranging, all prime elements of the ensemble's playing. Enjoy!

Is Nick Kendall the son of the late, great John Kendall of the SIU-E Suzuki Violin Program?

Didn't really know who they were, and a few years ago they came to my town. I thought I was in for a quiet evening of chamber music. Blown away..edge of your seat performance. The mastery of the instruments is amazing!!! And they stayed and talked to anyone..especially kids after the performance. Class act!!

OOPS....Nick Kendall is the GRANDSON - not the SON of the late John Kendall....see his comments in the American Suzuki Magazine for May....2012. Just out - he talks about doing many other things besides violin with his grandfather.

I also saw them in Elgin on Saturday 10-16-2010, So versatile, so good. It was a fun show and boy can they play anything, jazz, classical, bluegrass. The Elgin Symphony Orchestra jumped in and held on and then a violinist with ESO joined in for some excellent fiddling.

When they came to my school, the basist was playing with his shoes off.
