  • Good intentions, dumb solutions.

  • There is no higher form of protest. Though Lynch did not formally protest, what he did was what he felt was right despite the law. This does more than protest, it shows why we should protest. Furthermore, would you agree that laws are in place to prevent people from victimizing others? Who is the victim in this case. On whose behalf is the fed prosecuting this guy for? I have no greivance and apparantly you don't either. Find me someone who does and see if their arguments hold water.

  • It's worse than that. The laws that prohibit X,Y, and Z create the exact enviroment and problems that caused them to prohibit X,Y and Z. The fact that drugs are illegal forces their prices up through the black market. The addict then has to resort to property theft to obtain what should be readily available and controlled.

  • just greedy. The ones in power do NOT want to give it up. Just that simple.

  • Edit to my last post. Senators bring Bills to the House, not Congressional members. Sorry for that.

  • I a law needs changing, then we go through the process of changing it. Have a Congressional member table a bill to amend the legislation, then it can go through the process. To thumb a nose at a law by breaking it is dumb and useless. I would suggest if someone wants the law changed by protest, do it in VERY large numbers so that attention is drawn. Was this man doing it out of protest, I don't know. Imagine if all of us used this method to change laws. Not enough prison room.

  • Agreed. It's a little like hiring a contractor to paint your living room. He tears down your walls, does your roof, builds an attactched garage, and landscapes your yard, then has you put in prison for not paying the bill.
