Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island - Diamond Dust Act 2 - Glitch

Greham Adelphis aka Aere Alouette was, as far as I know, the first person who discovered and described this glitch:

"In the zone, you meet at least 3 snowmen (the kind that shoot snowballs at you). One appears in each section. The ones in sections 2 and 3, however, have a strange quality that they shouldn't have. If you roll up to one of them and you have some rings, but no shield, something odd may happen. It's often that you kill the snowman and not free the Flicky from the iceblock it's in. It isn't as likely that you get both destroyed by the same roll.

However, sometimes you hit it and not only will you not lose rings (to the point where they appear onscreen), but an invisible second hit kills you in the same instance of hit one. The chances of this are 1 in 90."

I am pretty sure that many players have gotten annoyed about it, though. But eh, this game is pretty annoying overall, so this isn't a big deal.

Yes its happened to me too often. I think the odds are better than 1 in 90
