@havingthetime - Rocket City Rednecks put a man on the moon. The American space program was born in Huntsville, just like Dr. Taylor. They are showing an ingenuity that today has lost. Mr. Taylor ("Daddy") worked with Von Braun and had to build the tools to build the tools to build the equipment to build the vehicles that put America into space. Remember - just 'cause I talk slow don't mean I'm stupid. Give me a call when you have half as many advanced degrees as Travis and Pete.

Not too impressive as the guys on Mythbusters have been using huge air cannons to launch chickens and a whole variety of objects at greater velocities.

@5omething Not a hoax. I build cannons very similar to this, granted they are MUCH smaller, but they are still real, and are incredibly powerful, and can EASILY kill someone. Right now, I am in the process of building a golf ball cannon that will launch golf balls at about 980 feet per second, with a range of about 850 yards, and it will have about 1500 foot pounds of energy. Once again, not a hoax.
