I challenged myself this weekend (bored to death) to produce a music video on a somewhat professional level. So I chose Keith Urban's "Tonight I Wanna Cry," which is also inspired from my own life experiences.
I used to produce professional videos, but this is an attempt to produce a music video on a zero dollar budget with a $200 camera as a one man producer, director, musician, camera man, etc...... but if you see my latest productions things have changed considerably with the new HD equipment. See my latest production at:

Getting back to this old production......As a musician, I produced ALL of the 'unplayed' audio tracks (drums, bass and strings) on my laptop using my Yamaha YPG-625 keyboard for playback. The piano I played live (as you will see on the video).
I was hesitant to post the final production because of my usual desire to be a perfectionist in the 'audio studio phase. Im very picky about what is 'released' when I produce it. EVEN MORE SO, I'm NO KEITH URBAN WHEN IT COMES TO SINGING.....but I gave it my best shot!
All video footage was shot on a tripod with a low cost Sony DCR-SR42 video cam (wished I'd had HD equipment back then!!). If you've had any experience in post-production, you'll recognize all of the 'film magic' was done in post production.
This whole production was done via me being the musician, the performer, the camera man, the film editor, the director and producer, etc, all in one weekend........oh, and if you wondered, there was NO camera man, just me and the tripod :-)
I had a lot of fun doing this. Hope it inspires you to be creative too.......Skip

Thanks Devilsaint28!! I'm much more of a producer than a singer, but it was fun.
